This is an unfixed pastel painting on brown sanded art card. It is 35cm high x 45cm wide / 13.75" x17.75".
This is a study of my own Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, quite an intense soul with a "thing" for horses. He always knew there was a horse around well before anyone else. A rescue dog, I think he must have had a horse friend before he came to me. It took me a long time to get over my loss when he went and the paintings of him were my way of honouring him but also of getting over losing my friend.
